As the sun reappears and the temperatures rise, it’s time to say farewell to our beloved winter season. Before you pack away your skis and skates, here's a friendly reminder:
🚴♂️ Bike and Ski Trails: Proceed with caution! While the snow is melting, trails can get slushy and slippery. It's like biking on a giant, unpredictable Slurpee! Winter Recreation Trails at Tor Hill Golf Course are closed for the season due to warm and wet conditions.
⛸️ Outdoor Rinks: Mind the puddles! Keep an eye out for soft spots and melting zones. Your safety is our top priority! City Outdoor rinks are now closed as the ice is no longer safe to skate on.
☀️ Stay Safe! Enjoy the last glimmers of winter, and get ready to welcome spring's bloom. 🌷

My first winter was of 2006/2007. I went to work that morning. When I came out to go home in late afternoon my car was surrounded by snow. I had now idea what to do. Anyway I cleared the snow off my car and started to get out of parking lot. And guess what I got stuck. It was very windy and snowy still. I was already freezing. I have heard my coworkers about the weather outside but was not familiar with the extensive weather. Anyway I tried calling toe truck, they were busy, I called cab, they were not... Continue reading
Coming from a country without snow, we were thrilled when Regina welcomed us with its snowy charm. In 2017, my family and I were captivated by our first experience with snow. Since then, we have fallen in love with Regina's cold weather and the warmth of the Canadians. The highlight for us is attending The Frost Regina every year, eagerly anticipating the variety of events it offers. We can’t wait for the next The Frost Regina event this winter! We love Regina ❤️

On a blustery Christmas morning, my dad decided to take us all out sliding with crazy carpets. We went somewhere out by the airport. I don’t remember exactly where, as that was a long time ago. It was windy and blizzarding and all I remember is my brother sliding down the hill, and his crazy carpet got away on him. Every time he ran to pick it up, it would blow away. I think after the 4th try, he finally got it. Lol it was quite comical. Rest their souls. ❤️❤️
Coming to the city to visit my grandson. Volunteering at his school for the Santa store has been one of my most fulfilling activities. Seeing the city all dressed up for Christmas, and everyone in the Christmas spirit.
This December 10th I celebrated 8 years of arriving in Canada and with it, my first time getting to know snow and a new country 🇨🇦 because I am Mexican and in my country there is never snow, my first impression upon arriving in Canada in 2015 It was beautiful because my eyes had never seen something as beautiful as snow ❄️ it is very cold but at the same time beautiful 🫶🏻 thank you Canada for those beautiful landscapes that you gave us
I remember as a small girl in the 80s going to Waskimo on Wascana Lake with my parents and brother. I remember being so excited to get hot chocolate from the Marina. Now we love heading to Frost. It has the same feel as Waskimo did in the 80s and then some!
We love the frost! The outdoor events in wascana park and victoria park; free hot chocolate and also free pancakes in the morning of the event. Ice slides and free skating and all the lights by glow. My kids love 'em all. Nice way to have a family get together.
