Rawlinson Crescent Park

The City of Regina is planning to transform Rawlinson Crescent Park. The space will be expanded to include a regulation-sized cricket field, seasonal washrooms, walking paths and a parking lot. There will also be trees and landscaping, including drainage improvements.

The plan is to rezone and service the site and do detailed design work in 2026. Construction will occur in 2027 as weather, construction schedules and budget allow.

  • Hi there, I was thinking about the section of the park that is marked as TBD. I was thinking an area for food trucks or vendors to set up would be nice. The flag football is right across the street and it would be a great space for vendors to set up and ensure community safety. Thanks.

    Thank you for your feedback. The future use of the area marked as TBD will be determined through rezoning and site servicing. Specific plans have not yet been finalized.

  • No question, I just wanted to voice my support for this as someone who lives a block away. Having people outside and doing things in the neighbourhood makes it an even greater place to live! Thank you for this, I really hope it moves forward.

  • I am thrilled to hear this, will this also include practice nets for players? I am a cricket player and we face massive challenges to practice when season start, also will you be building indoor facilities for cricket practice?

    The concept plan for Rawlinson Crescent Park currently includes outdoor cricket practice cages. Indoor facilities for cricket practice are not part of the current plan.

    The plan is to service the site and complete detailed design work in 2026. Pending budget approval, construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2027, provided weather and construction timelines allow. A partial opening of the park is anticipated in summer 2028, with scheduled cricket play beginning in summer 2029.

  • At the present time during events at the rugby field, people park in the ditch along Parliment Ave. With the Cricket field being adjacent, what plans are there for parking? The present situation is already dangerous.

  • My main question is around parking. And in spring and fall when the flag football season is on the weekends, being so close and with limited parking at the Rugby field how this will add to the congestion for parking on the weekends.
