As the end of the first e-scooter season approaches, the City of Regina is seeking feedback about your experience with e-scooters. This information will be used to evaluate the program and guide any required adjustments for next season.
Feedback from the e-scooter survey will be considered alongside data from e-scooter companies, the Regina Police Service, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority to inform a council report in early 2024.
As of April, residents were able to use their personal e-scooters in Regina. In late June, a shared e-scooter program was launched by two permitted companies, BIRD Canada and Neuron Mobility. As cooler weather begins, shared e-scooters will slowly be removed from the streets beginning October 15; use will continue as weather permits into late October.
E-scooters are a great way to get around our city and provide an alternate mode of transportation. The City of Regina has a goal to become a renewable, net zero City by 2050 and adding e-scooters as a transportation option is one way of helping to achieve this.
Personal e-scooter use is ongoing. Please remember, helmets are mandatory and riders must be a minimum of 16 years old. E-scooters are allowed on park and multi-use pathways, bike lanes, and on roads that have a speed limit of 50 km/hr or less. E-scooters are not allowed on sidewalks and are limited to a maximum speed limit of 24 km/hr on roadways and 15 km/hr on pathways.
Share roads and pathways, be aware of your surroundings, and scoot safe!

This survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts and experiences on e-scooters in Regina.
The purpose of this survey is to gather user and non-user experiences with e-scooters in Regina. Upon City Council approval, personal e-scooter use began in April and shared (or rented) e-scooters became available at the end of June.
Residents are asked to share their perspectives to include in the report about successes and areas for improvement after the first season of e-scooter use in our community. This report will be discussed at City Council in early 2024.
The survey will be available to residents until midnight Sunday, October 22, 2023.
