Encampment Response Strategy

Regina's Encampment Response Strategy

The City of Regina is updating our encampment response approach and seeking input from the community. Feedback will inform a report to City Council outlining options and recommendations.

The City of Regina currently defines an encampment as one or more tents or temporary shelters put up in one place. The City’s current response considers whether an encampment is located on private or public property, how many tents are observed and whether there is a safety risk.

We are hoping to hear from a wide range of residents including those who live or have lived in encampments, those who provide direct support to people who are houseless, those who have experienced living or working near an encampment and the general public.
