Memorable Winter Family Activity

This happened I think in 2010 the granddaughters, our kids and two sets of grandparents had settled in the west ditch on Albert St South to watch the Santa Clause parade. It was a cold windy day and a lot of snow on the ground, we were sitting on lawn chairs with blankets wrapped around us and each kid had an adult's knee to snuggle into. As far as the adults were concerned Santa couldn't show up quick enough and as soon as Santa was in sight the screaming started.

Now it was time to go to the other set of grandparent's home to have some warm hot chocolate, coffee and cookies and listen to the little ones talk about what they wanted from Santa.

Those days were priceless, the girls young adults now and a set of grandparents passed on, but life goes on.

Thank you for this contest to allow me to express a most unforgettable time.

Merry Christmas
