RPS Campus & Municipal Justice Building Redevelopment

Consultation has concluded

The Regina Police Service Campus Development Project's Phase 1 construction is complete

The RPS Campus Development Project commenced in 2021 with three phases and a $50.4 million budget, which included the purchase of RPS HQ West (former STC building), surrounding properties and site development. The construction of the new Regina Police Service Link building and Headquarters West has completed phase 1. The project will proceed to phases 2 and 3, with a final completion date of 2025.

This newly constructed building and renovated facility will allow RPS to continue providing services to our growing community. The new entrance is now 1717 Saskatchewan Drive, with parking available along Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive. Most public services will be accessed through the new Link building, which is at-grade as opposed to the elevated main floor of the old headquarters building.

The renovation and addition to the Municipal Justice Building (MJB) on Halifax Street is anticipated to be completed and open to the public later this year. Feedback from a recent public survey will help inform future programming at the centre as well as help to finalize the design.

The Municipal Justice Building (MJB) redevelopment plan includes construction of a multi-purpose room/gymnasium to the north side of the building. While primarily a community space, the design allows Regina Police Service (RPS) to use the multi-purpose room/gymnasium for training with no public access. The building will also have dedicated space for RPS training and fitness facilities on the third floor.

A key component of the project is preserving the heritage characteristics of the building, which will be considered throughout the redevelopment process. View the conceptual design for redevelopment of the MJB. Please respond before midnight, December 23, 2020.
