We all can go one and on with the things this person has done. Personally it was his government that placed a bounty on one of my ancestors as well. A a good example that I take from my father, he'd say "let the stain remain, but make them know it". I would recommend that his statue remain, but only on one condition. Erect an Indigenous Statue directly in front of him, in regalia, letting everyone know and especially him, that he did not do away with us - We are still here...
